So the cat is out of the proverbial bag, I haven't written in forever. The most I do is petty arguing on the internet. So I've decided to take a stand and finally start back up with writing exercises, but in actual story form. I think it's a pretty brilliant idea myself, but that could be my arrogance talking.

So what I've done is take the Lovecraft Mythos along with US history and merged it into one. I plan on writing simple journal entries from the point of view of a servant who works for the great first president of the United States, but there's a twist(Cue Shamalamadingdong)! The servant one night hears strange chanting coming from the president's office and becomes worried, so he keeps a journal of his findings.

Now this is where the brilliance comes in. These journal entries allow for me to use them as writing exercises, but at the same time will eventually span out into an entire story. The way it works is considering the servant starts off with mere suspicion, I can start off writing simple story lines and descriptions to get myself warmed up and into the writing groove. As the story progresses there will be more to be told and it will require me to progressively have to grow in my writing skills in order to describe and tell the story.

So the current plan is to have one of these journal entries every week, probably on Saturday. This gives me the week to do my thing while working on the story here and there, then Saturday I can finalize and post the week's journal entry here on Deviant Art.
